and just to add my bit to this thread coz av used this method and told yous about it many a time,,, dont!!!! repeat dont!!!! ever use this method on good chrome, if the chromework is as bad as the vid then its fine it will improve it, but dont try to use it as a substitute for polish, as it will ruin chromework, and I speak from experience ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
one you start rubbing the water turns black so ya cant see whats happening until you wipe it,, when a first learned about this a tryed to use it insted of polish and a perfect rim, and a was shocked to see what had happened,, it was still shiney chrome but had taken away the mirror effect of the chrome with ultra fine lines,,,I was wounded to say the least ??? ???thats why a say dont use it in replace of polish or on good chrome,, only on rusty parts, but then again in the video it is still only surface rust and not pitted rust, personly a still rather use vinegar to remove any rust completly then polish to protect from further rusting if people have old or poor parts, try a little experimenting, with different things
omg you would,nt believe that,and i am defo giving that a try...nice 1 timmy.
about time you did something, you build thread has dryed up :-Xif it was me so itching for a stars a would have started the evening after the blackpool ride
cheers for that andy lad. but sometimes its easier said than done.i have no where to start doing anything like this at the moment? and i have no idea what i am doing either?but i will start on it somehow very soon when i get my head round what to do first for the best? and also when i get a day to myself instead of trying to do everything else round here....
no no tony dont get me wrong, it is good on the right rust, but not as an alternative for polish,, but besides you wouldnt use solvo autosol on rust anyhow
get yourself some wire wool tony!!!!!!!!! and each time you stop to have a fag, sit on the front step and have it (or back step) and while your there have 5 mins with the wire wool and a bike part,, you dont have to finnish that part, just do some,,, before you know it you will have a box of shiny bits for your bike,,, :)even if you dont know what your doing any idiot can use wire wool 8-)or brillo pads and water
ya dont have to go for it big time, just 5 mins a day and you will be supprissed how quick you crack on,,, if ya go balls out to do it you might just p1ss yourself off, im doing a rear wheel now,, 5 mins with the brillo and half an hour on the pc ;D ;D ;Dbut it will be done today ;D ;D
thanks very much andy for the tip i only used it on the wheels of the commy as the chrome was very dull and dotted with rust it came up a real treat when i dryed it all off. good job i didnt use it on the mint rim on my fizzy cause i probably wouldnt have done in the future so you may have saved me from alot of stress cheers buddy
